Side Effects

Side effects of zithromax may include nausea, stomach upset, trouble sleeping, headache, or cold symptoms may occur. If these effects persist or get worse, tell your doctor promptly. Precautions

Tell your prescriber if you are a frequent user of drinks with caffeine or alcohol, if you smoke, or if you use illegal drugs. These may affect the way zithromax works. Overdose

If an overdose of zithromax is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of an overdose of zithromax may include irregular or unusually slow or fast heartbeat, unusual nervousness or excitement, rapid breathing, confusion, hallucinations, and seizures.

Missed dose

If you miss a dose of zithromax, take the missed dose as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, take only that dose. Do not take double or extra doses of zithromax. There should be an interval of at least 12 hours between zithromax doses.

Zithromax should be stored at room temperature between 68 and 77 degrees F (20-25 degrees C), keep away from sunlight and moisture.
