Dovonex Uses

Dovonex is used to help clear up the scaly skin condition known as psoriasis. Dovonex is form of is available in cream and ointment form and in a liquid form for the scalp. You are likely to begin seeing improvement after 2 weeks of starting dovonex therapy.

How to use Dovonex

Follow your doctors instructions for taking dovonex, it is for external use only. Avoid getting dovonex into contact with your face or eyes. For psoriasis on the skin, gently and completely rub a thin layer of the dovonex cream or ointment into the affected areas. For psoriasis on the scalp, first comb the hair to remove any scaly debris, then gently and completely rub the scalp dovonex solution into the affected areas. Avoid getting the dovonex solution on your forehead or unaffected parts of the scalp. Wash your hands after each application of dovonex.

Side effects

If any side effects develop or change in intensity, consult your doctor as soon as possible. More common side effects of dovonex can include burning, itching, skin irritation, and tingling. Less common side effects of dovonex may include dry skin, high blood calcium levels, peeling, rash, red or inflamed skin or hair follicles, skin discoloration, skin wasting, and worsening of psoriasis.

Precautions
