How to take Nizoral

Nizoral should be taken exactly as instructed by your doctor. Kkeep taking Nizoral until tests show that your fungal infection has cleared. If you stop taking nizoral too soon, the infection could return. You can take Nizoral Tablets with meals to avoid an upset stomach.

Side effects

The more common side effects while taking nizoral include: Nausea and vomiting.
Less common side effects may include Abdominal pain and itching.
Rare side effects while taking nizoral include breast swelling in men, depression, diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness, fever and chills, headache, hives, impotence, light sensitivity and rash.

Precautions

You should not take nizoral if you are sensitive to or have ever had an allergic reaction to nizoral. Never take nizoral together with Seldane, Hismanal, Halcion, or Propulsid. Rare, but sometimes fatal reactions have been reported when these drugs are combined. In rare cases, people have had anaphylaxis (a life-threatening allergic reaction) after taking their first dose of nizoral. Observe caution when driving or performing other tasks requiring alertness, due to potential for headaches, dizziness, and drowsiness. Avoid alcohol. Do not take nizoral with antacids. Drug Interaction

Missed dose
